Android device cannot connect

Help CenterSolutions Center

If your mobile device can not connect to a VPN server in a selected country, it may mean your Internet connection has built-in restrictions to use our services. Many organizations, offices, schools, colleges, and public WiFi network used to block connections via VPN services. We always try to do our best to overcome any limitation but, unfortunately, in some cases, to overcome the blockage is not possible. The only thing you can do in this situation is to contact your system administrator and ask him to remove the specified limitation.

There is also a common cause that your system has not a TUN module in the operating system installed. It is common issue for cheap devices and unofficial versions of Android. You can try to install a TUN module using the third-party program called TUN.co: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aed.tun.installer. Then reinstall DotVPN application and try to connect again.

If you are sure there is no limitation of the kind in your network and the TUN module is installed, do the following:

- Check your Internet connection. Do web sites and pages open in the normal mode?
- Try to connect to a VPN server in a different country.
- Reinstall DotVPN application and try to connect again.
- Contact our support. Describe the reason of your request as precisely as possible, tell us the name of your device, operating system version it runs, the browser version. Provide also information about your country and the country where there is the server you tried to connect to. Our experts will do their best to solve your issue!
